His name may be unfamiliar to casual music listeners. People in the music industry, on the other hand, know Tony Bucher as a true winner in everything he does.

Not only is he CEO and President of Hitmaker Services, which since 2016 has provided creative marketing for clients such as Sony, Universal, Atlantic, Warner, Netflix, Amazon, 300, eOne and others. He is also the founder of New Wave Distro, a digital distribution platform that gives artists and labels complete control over their catalog and releases while providing significant marketing support.

Before that, he was just another Purdue University student. After earning his bachelor’s degree in business administration, he founded BCForward (formerly known as Bucher & Christian), an Indianapolis-based IT company. He was so good at his job that in 2004 the Indianapolis Business Journal named him one of the 40 Best Businessmen in Indiana Under the Age of 40. By 2008, the company had grown to become the largest private IT company in the state and the third largest in the Midwest with sales of $55 million and customers such as Eli Lilly, Proctor and Gamble, and others.

In 2009, Bucher transitioned into the entertainment industry with the founding of Gracie Productions. It then grew to become the fifth largest independent music company in the United States with clients including Universal, EMI, MTV, NBC and others. Artists he and his team have worked with include Eminem, Lil Wayne, Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift.

Despite his success, Tony Bucher is looking for new opportunities. He founded Hitmaker Services to find new and unknown musicians, songwriters and producers and give them the boost they need to become the next big thing.

Its main motivation is to allow independent artists to compete on an equal footing with artists from big labels.
