Weekend celebrations with reception, brunch cruise and Lusitanian Forum
The Portuguese-American Leadership Council of the United States (PALCUS) announces that the full schedule of events for the 24th Annual PALCUS Leadership Awards Gala is now available. This year’s celebrations will take place in Washington, DC
The 2022 PALCUS Leadership Awards Gala will be held on Saturday, October 8th at the Marriott Metro Center and will honor 7 honorees, including artists and individuals recognized for lifetime achievement and community service. Weekend celebrations include the Lusitanian Forum and Welcome Reception at the Ambassador’s Residence (by invitation only) on Friday 7th October and a brunch cruise on Sunday 9th October.

Soares, Chair of PALCUS. “This year’s honorees and grantees are a testament to the success and resilience of the national Portuguese-American community despite unprecedented circumstances on a global scale. The recipients of the PALCUS Leadership Award 2022 are:
Carolina Rendeiro – leadership in community service
Filipe Valle Costa – Guided Tour in the Arts (Performing or Visual Arts)
Portuguese History Museum – Excellent organization
Fernando G. Rosa – Lifetime Achievement
Marie R. Fraley – Lifetime Achievement
Andrew Figueiredo – Young Portuguese-American “Promessa”
Kayla Faria – Young Portuguese-American “Promessa”
