TORONTO, Canada, Sept. 01, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Last week the governments of Canada and Germany came together to discuss two key areas of cooperation towards a net-zero future and announced partnerships to power the battery of countries to advance metal and hydrogen markets.

These announcements position both countries as leaders in these markets. Supporting a hydrogen supply chain

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced a new partnership between Canada and Germany to build a transatlantic hydrogen supply chain.

Hatch congratulates both governments on their leadership in accelerating efforts to use hydrogen in the green energy transition. Hatch believes hydrogen will play an important role in achieving our global goal of a low-carbon future. A future with hydrogen allows largely separate energy systems – electricity and natural gas – to become an integrated and complementary energy network.

EverWind Fuels LLC has retained Hatch to assist with the engineering design of the initial phase of its storage terminal at Point Tupper. The project will develop the site into a regional green hydrogen hub for eastern Canada, using wind power to produce hydrogen and ammonia, which will then be exported using the site’s significant existing infrastructure, including a deepwater port capable of accommodating some of the largest ships of the world.
