ITHACA, NY, December 1, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — simplified, the maternal telehealth platform dedicated to infant feeding and parenting support, today announced it is launching the Care for Caregivers campaign to prioritize maternal health and well-being during the holiday season and even more so throughout the year . The campaign is an attempt to correct the statistics and stigma surrounding mothers who care about everyone else in the family but themselves – especially when it comes to their own personal health and well-being. SimpliFed will provide parents and their support systems with “caregiver care” opportunities through social media and virtual events, using evidence-based best practices to help parents receive the care they deserve when caring for their families. The aim is to improve maternal health in the short and long term and to normalize personal health and self-care.

“Studies show that one of three mothers have no plan for their own health after giving birth to their baby. The Care for Caregivers movement encourages parents to use available resources, whether it’s during the busy (and sometimes stressful) holiday season or just a regular week,” said Abrie McCoy, Certified Lactation Consultant (CLC) at SimpliFed. “Self-care is certainly trendy, but it doesn’t have to be – self-care has to be normalized and accepted. Health depends on it. So we need to celebrate caregivers, and that starts with embracing the care ourselves as mothers, householders and caregivers.”

For one of the campaign’s marquee events, the CEO of SimpliFed will host an Instagram Live with CEO of Alexandra Drane ARCHANGELto discuss how caregiving affects health and well-being. Topics include the reality of today’s caregiving, identifying intensity drivers and buffers, and resources for managing caregiver stress. The talk will take place on December 7 at 4:15 p.m. ET on Instagram Live and is free to all attendees….
