US stocks traded lower towards the end of trade, with the Nasdaq Composite down about 0.5% on Wednesday.

The Dow rose 0.03% to 33,606.83 while the NASDAQ fell 0.41% to 10,969.66. The S&P 500 was also down 0.12% to 3,936.44.

Healthcare stocks rose 0.7% on Wednesday. Meanwhile top winner in the sector included Prometheus Biosciences, Inc. RXDXincreased by 170% and Before Biopharma Inc. BEFOREincreased by 35%.

Shares in communications services fell 0.8% in trading on Wednesday.

U.S. crude oil inventories decreased 5.187 million for the week ended December 2, 2022 compared to market expectations for a 3.305 million decrease, the U.S. Energy Information Administration said.

• Prometheus Biosciences, Inc. RXDX Shares soared 170% to $97.20 after the company announced results for PRA023 from both the ARTEMIS-UC Phase 2 and APOLLO-CD Phase 2a studies. ARTEMIS-UC met the primary endpoint.
• shares of Before Biopharma Inc. BEFORE received a boost, rising 35% to $5.80 after the company received initial clinical data from VBP101, its Phase 1/2a, multi-center, open-label, Phase 1/2a study of tremtelectrogen empogeditemcel, or “Trem-Cel” in patients announced with acute myeloid had leukemia. Pre-Bio also priced the underwritten offering of 15.3 million common shares at $4.30 per share.
• TransCode Therapeutics, Inc. RNAZ Shares were also higher, gaining 144% to $1.0260 after the company announced it was withdrawing its registration statement on Form S-1 filed on November 28, 2022 for a share offering for up to $12.5 million.
