Henriette Mersebach succeeds Henrik Jacobi as Executive Vice President…

ALK (ALKB:DC /OMX: ALK B / AKABY / AKBLF) today announced that Henriette Mersebach is expected to assume the position of Executive Vice President, Research & Development and Member of the Executive Board effective March 1, 2023.

She replaces Henrik Jacobi, who is retiring from this position after 22 years at ALK, including 19 years as Executive Vice President, Research & Development. In order to enable a smooth generational change, Henrik Jacobi will continue in his current position until Henriette Mersebach takes office. Henrik Jacobi then becomes a member of the ALK’s Scientific Advisory Board.

Henriette Mersebach, born 1971, Danish citizen, brings to ALK extensive experience from more than 17 years of global clinical and product development work at Novo Nordisk, being responsible for both early and late development activities. She currently holds the position of Corporate Project Vice President, Rare Disease & Advanced Therapies, responsible for recent pipeline enhancements, division build-out and leading organizational development. Henriette Mersebach holds an MD (1998) and a PhD in medicine from the University of Copenhagen (2004) and is the author or co-author of numerous scientific publications. Before joining Novo Nordisk, Henriette Mersebach worked as a doctor, with clinical experience in pediatrics, among other things.
