On November 21, 2022, sports betting site The Action Network published an article reporting that DraftKings user accounts were hacked and funds in users’ accounts were withdrawn. DraftKings co-founder Paul Liberman subsequently acknowledged the hacks, stating that around $300,000 in customer funds were affected.
As a result of this news, DraftKings stock price fell $0.76 per share, or 5.05%, to close at $14.29 per share on November 21, 2022.
