But the model is quickly becoming untenable as sidewalks, doorways and bike racks everywhere are crammed with electric scooters of various brands, which are becoming a nuisance as many cities have started banning them within city limits.

The company’s goal is to solve the traffic and parking problems in America’s largest cities while helping to fight climate change. Electric scooters, which have become popular in recent years, offer only a partial solution to urban traffic problems. Many people are unwilling to use scooters in adverse weather conditions and they are not suitable for transporting several people at once. Studies have also shown that electric scooters are not as eco-friendly as they might seem, having as large a carbon footprint as traditional cars and 3.5 times the size of electric vehicles.
Eli Electric has developed miniature electric cars to transport individuals or families around the city without parking or environmental concerns. Slightly larger than golf carts, the vehicles have an aluminum body frame to minimize their weight and make them as manoeuvrable as possible. The two-seat cars have extra storage capacity and can carry groups of two, making them ideal for commutes and higher-capacity travel than scooters. With a maximum speed of 40 km/h, Eli ZERO cars are well suited for inner-city journeys.
