It’s been a year since internet personality MrBeast’s fast-food chain told MrBeast it was working on the acceptance Dogecoins DOGE/USD if Elon Musk retweet her post.

What happened: A Doge fan on Twitter quickly jumped in and asked if MrBeast could accept Doge for MrBeast Burger.

MrBeast Burger was founded by Jimmy Donaldson, best known on YouTube by the nickname MrBeast.

Earlier last year, MrBeast Burger’s tweet received a lot of traction from DOGE followers on Twitter. At the time, Billy Markus, the cryptocurrency co-creator, said the company didn’t need Musk as the DOGE army is “strong enough to give you strong exposure :)”.

MrBeast had expressed doubts that Musk might not care.

how it started: It all started when McDonald’s Musk said it will accept DOGE if Tesla accepts a fictional cryptocurrency featuring the McDonaldland mascot Grimace.

Musk had said he would eat a Happy Meal on TV if the operator of Golden Arches accepted DOGE.

price action: DOGE traded at $0.086 in the last 24 hours, up 2%, according to Benzinga Pro.
