Dormant Satoshi-era wallet moves $9.6 million bitcoin after 11 years

A Bitcoin BTC/USD Address, which had been dormant for more than a decade, suddenly revived on Wednesday.

What happened: Address ‘1MMXRAwas holding 412.12 BTC on October 1, 2012, which combined were worth just $8 at the time. These BTC were accumulated through four separate transactions.

The address decided to empty their wallet for $23,000 a piece. Converted to today’s prices, that move represents an incredible value of $9.6 million, a whopping 120,000,000% return.

Earlier last week, a major bitcoin whale transferred 13,369 BTC worth $311 million from one unknown purse to another. The transaction was traced to one of the top 65 Bitcoin wallets, according to BitInfoCharts. The wallet was used for both sending and receiving funds.
