Before Apple, Inc AAPL March 10 Annual General Meeting, the tech giant appears to have found favor with the largest proxy consultancy.

Proxy Consulting Firm Institutional Shareholder Services has advised Apple shareholders to vote for the CEO’s compensation packages Tim cook and other executives at the company, Reuters reported, citing a company research report released on Friday.

The company has also reportedly sought endorsement for Apple’s nominee directors.

This was shown by a proxy statement submitted by Apple in mid-January Cook’s total compensation target would be $49 million, a reduction of over 40%. from the target remuneration for 2022. As a further change, the proportion of performance-related restricted stock units granted to him was increased from 50% to 75%.

“Continuous monitoring of the compensation program is warranted to ensure that the level of compensation is supported by continued strong performance by the company,” ISS reportedly said in the statement.

But the company backed proposals that called for a report on the median gender and racial pay gap and a change in access rights for proxies, the report said. Both of these proposals were rejected by Apple’s management.

Apple closed Friday’s session at $152.55, down 0.75% Benzinga Pro data.
