Netflix reveals secrets behind missing MH370 on March 8

“Someone knows the answer, the question is who,” the trailer says Netflix Inc. NFLX Documentaries about the disappearance of Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 or MH370.

In March 2014, the plane took off from Kuala Lumpur on a routine trip to Beijing with 227 passengers and 12 crew, but the plane disappeared and to this day no one has been able to explain why or how.

What happened: Titled “MH370: The plane that disappeared‘, the documentary series is slated to premiere on March 8 — the ninth anniversary of the plane’s disappearance. It will consist of three episodes.

The series will attempt to uncover some not-so-ordinary facts and theories about the mysterious disappearance.

Directed by Louise Malkinsonthe series will be shown Jeff WiseScience Writer and Author of The Plane That Wasn’t There: Why We Haven’t Found MH370, Reporter and Foreign Correspondent Florence de Changyamong other.

The series will also feature interviews with family members of the victims, including those from China, Malaysia, Australia and France.

Malkinson said the families just wanted a platform to say, “Come on, it’s been nine years.”

Why it matters: The disappearance of MH370, one of modern times’ greatest unsolved mysteries, remains the focus of scientists, investigative journalists and family members who continue to seek answers.

The documentaries will address conspiracy theories and false accusations as well as the incident involving another Malaysian Airline plane. MH17, which was shot down by a Russian missile. It will also probe the skepticism surrounding much of a plane wing that has washed ashore off the east African coast, experts and the Malaysian prime minister fear Najib Razak was confirmed by MH370.
