The four strategic cruise missiles hit a preset target after traveling the “2,000 km long distance.” [1,243-mile] elliptical and figure-eight trajectories for 10,208 seconds to 10,224 seconds,” according to state media.

Despite international sanctions and pressure Kim has actively developed North Korea’s missile capabilities and nuclear arsenal. His isolated nation said Friday’s missile launches demonstrated “the war stance of the DPRK’s nuclear strike force, which bolsters its deadly nuclear counterattack capabilities against the enemy forces in every way.”

The missile launches come at a time of heightened tensions on the Korean Peninsula, attended by US and South Korean officials in a simulated “table-top” exercise that focused on the possibility of Pyongyang using a nuclear weapon.

“Given the DPRK’s recent aggressive nuclear policy and advances in nuclear capabilities, Scenario focused on the possibility of DPRK use of nuclear weapons‘ the Pentagon said in a statement.
