KANSAS CITY, Mon., March 28, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — WestRock, a leading provider of sustainable paper and packaging solutions, has selected a leading US warehousing and logistics management provider to Wagner logistics (Wagner) to negotiate a cost-optimizing lease for their 160,000 square foot California warehouse and manage all paper handling operations.

WestRock has been a sustainable packaging provider since 2015, when shortly thereafter the company’s executives selected Wagner Logistics to handle the storage, handling and distribution of roll paper and corrugated board for the company. Wagner has also partnered with WestRock to ship materials through multiple distribution points across the United States. Recently, WestRock has saved approximately 20% in occupancy costs based on the building owner’s quoted market value.

“Wagner proactively anticipated the renewal of the service contract for our Northern California facility and negotiated an agreement to extend our current rental rate at a discount – even though the real estate market has nearly tripled since we moved into the premises,” said Brett Weaver, Inventory Sourcing Manager, WestRock. “The Wagner team’s negotiations on our new lease included improvements to facilities to maximize efficiency.”

Headquartered in North Kansas City, MO. Wagner provides premier warehousing and logistics services for US companies that do not manufacture hazardous material products. From desk lamp handling to ammunition, Wagner provide industry related advice along with a well trained and experienced team that safely and successfully handles a wide range of products including 8,000lb rolls of paper by reducing costs and maximizing productivity.
