Former President donald trump delivered a speech from his residence in West Palm Beach, Florida Mar-a-Lago on Tuesday evening after arrested in New York earlier in the day.
What happened: The president’s remarks came on video streaming site Rumble. Before his remarks were made, the President was seen walking among his supporters present at the club in Florida.
“We have to save our country,” Trump said. “The only crime I committed was fearlessly defending our nation,” the former president said.
Trump attacked the Democratic Party, mentioning his relentless persecution and alleged persecution.

Why it matters: Trump turned himself in on Tuesday and was charged with 34 felonies in a case involving the payment of hush money to the porn star Stormy Daniels.
He was charged on March 30, but the accusation remained under wraps until Tuesday. He pleaded not guilty and denied any wrongdoing.
Formerly, Nixon-era White House Advisor John Dean said a possible speech by Trump after his indictment would be one “terrible idea.”
