As Elon Musk cheers on Creator Subscriptions bigtime Twitter, Dogecoins DOGE/USD co-founder Bill Markus – popularly known as Shibetoshi Nakamoto – has come one step closer to his dream job of being a professional shit poster.
What happened: On Thursday, Musk took to Twitter to update users that the microblogging site is working to increase the number of subscriptions from creators in an unprecedented way.
When asked if the platform was also working on sharing ad revenue for creators, the Twitter CEO replied that the site had a “surprisingly complex code base” but was working on it.

Meanwhile after British rapper and podcaster Nzube Olisaebuka Udezue – better known by his stage name Zubi — seemingly joking about how the platform has evolved under Musk’s leadership, Markus came to the Twitter CEO’s defense, saying he’d found a way to monetize his “mental illness.”
He seems to be referring to his tweets, which can be provocative or off-topic, which could make some users angry or frustrated.
Markus shared a screenshot of the Creator subscription button on his profile, where Musk said he’s currently stuck Apple Inc AAPL app store because of an ongoing approval process. He said the Subscribe button works on the web and on devices that run it alphabet inc GOOD Google Android Operating system.
Why it matters: The aforementioned conversation followed just a few days later Musk blamed Substacka popular subscription newsletter platform, Steal data from Twitter to compete with the microblogging site.
Last month, Musk also announced that Twitter Blue subscribers could tweet up to 10,000 characters. Previously, the limit was 4,000. The move was taken to make it easier for authors to charge subscription fees for premium content.
