According to a recent lawsuit filed by six alumni Twitter Clerk at the Delaware District Court, Elon Musk is said to have told an investor that he would only pay the rent Company office “over his dead body”.

The call between the investor and Musk took place at 4 a.m., the insider said reported on Thursday.

The lawsuit noted that Twitter failed to pay severance payments to its employees and charged the defendants with 14 violations, including fraud, labor laws and breach of contract.

One of the named plaintiffs joseph killian, who worked at Twitter for 12 years reportedly knew that Musk decided not to pay rent last December. Killian is said to have received the information from a venture capitalist Pablo Mendoza, an investor in Musk’s Twitter acquisition, the lawsuit says.

“Kilian tried to persuade Musk through Mendoza of the danger Musk’s new position posed of not paying rent at all, pointing out that any attempt to renegotiate the terms of Twitter’s numerous leases would would be doomed to failure,” it said.

“Elon told me he would only pay rent for his body,” Mendoza’s lawsuit says.

The lawsuit also states that Musk’s attorney, Alex Spiro, said it was unreasonable for Twitter’s landlords to expect Twitter to pay rent because San Francisco is a “shithole.”

The landlords of the Twitter offices in San Francisco and London have sued Musk because he has not paid the rent for many months. The social media company is leasing more than 460,000 square feet of space across eight floors of the San Francisco building.

At the same time, since Musk took power, Twitter has bled advertisers dry, and several big-name companies have gone on hiatus Promotions on the Platform.
