Allegiant Announces Ratified Dispatcher Contract Agreement With…

LAS VEGAS, May 26, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — loyalty ALGT announced today that the company and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (IBT), which represents Allegiant’s dispatchers, have ratified a new collective bargaining agreement extending the union’s original contract by two years.

The preliminary agreement, announced on May 3, 2023was ratified by Allegiant flight dispatchers with an approval rating of 95.8%. Allegiant currently employs 50 flight dispatchers, coordinators and instructors.

“We are pleased that our dispatchers voted overwhelmingly to ratify the tentative agreement we presented a few weeks ago. This extension comes more than a year ahead of the current contract amendment date, thanks to the hard work and dedication of the negotiating teams for both Allegiant and IBT,” said Allegiant’s President Greg Anderson. “Our dispatch team plays a critical role in our operations and we appreciate their overwhelming support and commitment to this process.”

The current collective agreement entered into force on April 25, 2019 and should be changeable on May 31, 2024. The parties opened confidential talks early on, which resulted in a tentative agreement to replace the originally planned tariff increases 31. May of this year and the addition of two more years related only to a change in tariffs.
