SEATTLE, August 6, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Alaska Airlines’ customer service, business, cargo, ground services and reservations representatives, represented by the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM), have ratified a two-year contract extension. The deal was overwhelmingly approved and includes a pay rise with market reviews to ensure pay rates remain competitive and a longevity pay increase. Job security has also been extended to 27 Sep2028

Alaskans Airport customer service representatives, business, cargo, ground services and reservations agents are responsible for assisting guests with upcoming and day of travel, managing aircraft supplies and parts, loading cargo and preparing aircraft for departures and arrivals.

The previous contract became amendable on September 27, 2024. Contracts in the aviation industry do not expire. Once they can be changed, the current treaty remains in force until a new agreement is ratified.
