Alert 360, one of the nation’s largest providers of home security systemscelebrates a corporate milestone in 2023. The national alarm monitoring provider celebrates its 50th birthdayth anniversary as a home and business security company this year.
Founded in 1973 as Guardian Security Systems, the company is one of the nation’s oldest licensed alarm surveillance providers. It was Oklahoma’s premier security provider for more than 30 years and was later purchased by the Central Security Group while retaining the Guardian name in Oklahoma.
What began as a small installation and alarm monitoring company – later renamed Alert 360 – has grown into a leader in home security, enterprise security and home automation. With more than 1,000 employees, the company monitors over two million security sensors, with more than 80,000 CCTV cameras installed.
Alert 360’s 50-year milestone follows a period of rapid growth and numerous product launches. In early 2022, Alert 360 partnered with My Alarm Center to deepen its reach and presence across the country. The My Alarm Center family of companies included My Alarm Center, Hawk Security and Alarm Monitoring Service of Atlanta (AMSA). At the end of 2022, the company assumed responsibility for ongoing service, monitoring and technical support for thousands of VIO Security customers under the Alert 360 brand.
In the last two years alone, Alert has launched 360 connected cars; the Flex 360; the Alert 360 Smart Video Doorbell 2.0; the Alert 360 Edge artificial intelligence security panel and the Remote and Alert 360 Video Shield Live video surveillance. The Company now also offers armed guard patrol, vacation surveillance services and security escort services to higher tier clients from its Los Angeles area subsidiary ACS security.
