Apple Inc AAPL upcoming smartphone lineup, iPhone 15 series, has already caused a stir on the market. Now an Apple analyst says the proximity sensor in the iPhone 15 will get a relocation.
What happened: Ming Chi Kuoa notable analyst at TF Internationalassumed Twitter on Friday to share insights about a new update.

Kuo confirmed an earlier leak, for example take over all iPhone 15 models the Dynamic Island feature, along with some additional information about “Proximity Sensor Placement”.
He said: “On the iPhone 14 Pro, the proximity sensor is under the display (outside the dynamic island). Conversely, in the iPhone 15 series, the proximity sensor is located within the dynamic island, with almost no change in the dynamic island area.”
Why it matters: Apple previously moved the proximity sensor under the display and under the main cameras on the iPhone 14 Pro Max. It used to be part of the family of sensors within the Face ID notch. This step reduced the required crop size, allowing the iPhone 14 Pro model’s new Dynamic Island notification/activity alert system, reported Tom’s guide.
The iPhone 15 lineup is expected Release in September later this year. The device is rumored to have an A17 Bionic chipset, HD photography capabilities, Switch to Solid State Keys from physical and have an expensive price.
