A Ordinal with a one-second audio recording of a wet fart that reportedly sold Bitcoin worth $280,000.
What happened: Casey Rodarmora software engineer, in January designed and published Ordinals, a protocol that allows data to be stored Bitcoins BTC/USD Blockchain. In some ways, ordinal numbers are similar to non-fungible tokens but are unique to Bitcoin.
To buy or trade them, you need special bitcoin ordinal wallets, but that hasn’t stopped individuals from uploading weird and unusual data to the bitcoin network.
Since its inception, more than 100,000 manuscripts have been uploaded to the Ordinal network, ranging from encrypted files to digital art.

According to a Reddit user, the fart order was sold for a whopping 12.3 bitcoin, which is equivalent to $280,000.
The sale itself is not verifiable as there is no centralized or decentralized marketplace for these Bitcoin Ordinals. Most are sold via OTCs on random Discord channels, mostly among Bitcoin exchanges.
Price Action: BTC traded at $24,671, up 12% in the last 24 hours, according to Benzinga Pro.
