Bitcoiner ‘Pomp’ shouts down ‘The Judge’ on CNBC – while Cramer…

A financial media outlet produced one of cryptocurrency’s most vocal advocates Bitcoin BTC/USD. The interview saw an attempt to label the guest an “evangelist” for Bitcoin, but instead turned haters into fans of the interviewee.

What happened: Bitcoin bull and investment firm co-founder Morgan Creek Digital, Anthony Pompliano is known for hosting podcasts, videos and a newsletter world of cryptocurrency. He was invited to CNBC on Tuesday to share his thoughts Sam Bankman Fried and the collapse of FTX FTT/USD and also what’s next for bitcoin.

CNBC host Scott WapnerKnown as “The Judge,” Pompliano said that you can do fundamental analysis for stocks but not for the cryptocurrency market, which Pompliano denied.

“I don’t think that’s true. They can definitely do fundamental analysis,” Pompliano said. “There is a disconnect between price and fundamentals.”

Pompliano said that while bitcoin is down 75% over the past year, 67% of bitcoin in circulation hasn’t moved over the past 12 months.

“We’re watching the biggest battle of 2022 as it’s bitcoiners and HODLers versus the macro environment.”

Pompliano said he relies on BITcoiner.

“Shopify and DoorDash are down 75% to 95%, more than bitcoin, if bitcoin is that great then we’re going to argue that Shopify isn’t valuable now that it’s over,” Pompliano asked Shopify Inc SHOP and DoorDash Inc HYPHEN.

Pompliano argued that Bitcoin is a peer-to-peer decentralized network with a great track record and Bitcoiners are trying to “bring back timeless investment principles.”

When asked if he should respond to criticism from people now that the FTX events have happened, Pompliano said CNBC has been rounding other investors who own stocks that have underperformed Bitcoin.
