The prosecutor said that before his arrest, he worked as a local employee at the British Embassy in Berlin and allegedly handed over the documents he received at work to the Russians.
The Federal Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement that the suspect “at least once gave documents he obtained as part of his professional activities to representatives of the Russian intelligence services”.
