From Labor Day WNBA star Brittney Griner has been in a Russian prison for 200 days since she was first arrested at a Moscow airport on February 17 for having cannabis oil in her suitcase. grinner, a medical marijuana patient in the US had forgotten to remove the tiny amount of cannabis oil before traveling to Russia where she played with basketball best women’s team in the country for the past seven years.

Still, 31-year-old Griner, who is well-liked in Russia for her athletic ability, was put to the test sentenced to nine years in a penal colony on August 4 for drug smuggling and drug possession.
