GROSSE POINTE, Mich., Feb. 24, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Broad Arrow Auctions, a Hagerty HGTY happy to announce The Porsche 75th anniversary auction. The single brand sale will take place during the brand’s 75th anniversary celebrations this weekend at the Porsche Experience Center in Atlanta June 8-10, 2023.

Every Porsche anniversary is worth celebrating, but 75 years of manufacturing and motorsport deserve special mention. As the auction house of Porsche Cars North America’s Porsche 75th Anniversary celebrations in June, Broad Arrow will commemorate this milestone with its auction, featuring a curated selection of 75 of the most desirable classic and collectible Porsche cars on the market today.

Leading early shipments for sale is the “No. 001/001” Porsche 911 Classic Club Coupé. Developed in partnership with the Porsche Club of America (PCA), this unique Porsche Classic project features a 996-generation 911 Carrera enhanced through Porsche’s custom individual program. The sports car’s unique modifications enhance its appearance and performance, inspired by the 2010 911 Sport Classic, a limited-edition model not sold in the United States. Completed in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen, the Classic Club Coupé has the complete powertrain from a 911 GT3 of the 996.2 generation from 2004-2005, a water-cooled flat-six with 381 hp and an engine speed of 8,000 rpm and a six-speed manual gearbox. The chassis and brakes of the Classic Club Coupé also come from the 911 GT3.

Design was led by Porsche’s Director of Special Projects, Grant Larson, best known for designing the 986 Boxster and Carrera GT. A duck-tail spoiler nods to the legendary 1972 911 Carrera RS 2.7, and a double-bubble roof pays homage to a motorsport practice to accommodate the driver’s helmet. The Sport Gray Metallic paint finish is both unique and understated, while the painted racing stripes are Bright Sport Gray Metallic with thin Club Blue accents…
