Christina Lake Cannabis Corp. CLCFF CLC CLB provided a company update.
Increase in distillate capacity
The Company successfully commissioned the equipment and exceeded initial production expectations. The expanded processing capabilities have enabled the Company to increase distillate production by more than 75%.
Harvest results 2022
Increasing the amount of biomass, refined harvesting techniques and cultivar selection have resulted in improved quality and effectiveness of the Company’s production inputs. This improvement has resulted in an estimated average yield increase of over 20% in mg of THC extracted per kg of biomass.
The company has also reserved over 2,000kg of purpose-grown, hang-dried dried flower for its new pre-roll and infused pre-roll product lines.
2023 harvest preparation
Harvest preparation for 2023 is well underway at the Company’s Christina Lake facility. Results from the 2022 harvest guided improved strain selection for the 2023 season. Using data collected from previous harvests, the Company was able to optimize its strain selection for both distillate production and pre-roll production lines.
Improvements to the greenhouses have allowed an earlier start to the season and are delivering strong results. The transition of the clones into the greenhouses started earlier than planned this week. The Company’s team is currently preparing the fields for transplantation of the established clones, which is expected to occur in the first week of June.
South Africa
The Company expects to complete its first shipment of custom formulations of medicinal cannabis oils in the South African medicinal cannabis market in the third quarter of fiscal 2023.
Adding custom wording
The company is now offering its partners tailor-made formulations. The expanded offering will allow the company to customize the potency and flavor of the distillate for each partner in a ready-to-use format and use its techniques to infuse flower based on their specific needs.
