Cybin Inc. CYBNa clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing innovative psychedelics-based treatment options is launching a free online facilitation training course.

EMBARK Open Access, an open and essential online course, is aimed at healthcare professionals and anyone interested in providing psychological support.

CEO Doug Drysdale says the company’s mission to revolutionize mental health care is complemented by its commitment to supporting the entire ecosystem.

“By offering a free training program for facilitators, we hope to promote accessible, scalable, and most importantly, ethical psychological support during psychedelics-assisted therapy,” he said.

The Psychedelics Facilitation Model, EMBARK, has a new set of 12 video-based training modules and accompanying exercises, as well as a new website.

Upon completion of EMBARK OA, participants will receive a certificate of completion, which can act as a bridge for facilitators to register for upcoming EMBARK training programs and potential participation in Cybin-sponsored clinical trials.

dr Alex Belser, co-founder of EMBARK, says the training “is facing a bottleneck” as the programs are expensive and unaffordable for many.

These challenges drove the adoption of EMBARK OA. “Our team has put a lot of thoughtful, science-based, and heartfelt work into these educational materials, and we’re proud to share them with the wider healthcare community. Our hope is to provide more equitable access to quality learning and development in psychedelic practice,” Belser concluded.
