The Florida governor’s wealthy donors expressed their dismay last week Ron DeSantis’ Presidential prospects and chances Winning the Republican nomination against donald trump.
What happened: Wealthy Angry Donors After DeSantis’ Out-of-state promotional tour amid massive flooding in the home state of Florida blew up the governor, reported Rolling Stone.
“What the hell is wrong with RD?” A participant wrote in a group chat seen by the publication. Another participant in the group also asked if the quickest way was for someone to contact DeSantis to make a complaint.

The publication said the source asked to remain anonymous. Upon review, several of the group’s participants were found to have made large donations to DeSantis’ campaign and enjoyed widespread access in Florida’s GOP circles.
On Thursday, DeSantis stopped in Ohio as part of his book tour — during which he has traveled to states that are election-crucial and have significant donors — before making a possible announcement for the 2024 US Presidential Election.
Why it matters: Last week, the ex-president’s son Donald Trump Jr. also slammed the Florida governor for “election campaigning in Ohio” amid torrential rains and flooding in his home state.
Without announcing his candidacy so far, DeSantis has recently become one of Trump’s most important internal opponents.
Trump trails DeSantis in two key swing states when it comes to beating the President Joe Bidenaccording to a poll by GOP firm Public Opinion Strategies.
