On or about March 24, 2021, Design completed its initial public offering (“IPO”), selling 12 million shares at a price of $20.00 per share. Then, on December 7, 2022, Design released initial data from a Phase 1 study of DT-216 in patients with Friedreich’s Ataxia. Among other findings, Design said that 16 patients on DT-216 and eight on placebo reported at least one treatment-emergent adverse event.
As a result of this news, Design’s share price fell sharply during intraday trading on December 8, 2022.
