US stocks traded mixed towards the end of the session, with the Dow Jones up around 80 points on Tuesday.

The Dow rose 0.24% to 33,710.06, while the NASDAQ fell 0.21% to 11,340.24. The S&P 500 was also down 0.11% to 4,015.51.

Verizon Communications Inc vz reported better than expected fourth quarter sales results.

Verizon reported revenue growth of 3.5% year over year to $35.3 billion in the fourth quarter of FY22, beating the consensus of $35.1 billion. Adjusted EPS of $1.19 was in line with consensus.

Verizon said it expects adjusted earnings per share to be in the range of $4.55 to $4.85, below the consensus of $4.99.

Stock trading UP

  • Baudax Bio, Inc. BXRX Shares rose 35% to $4.26 after the company announced the results of its first interim analysis in a Phase II study of BX1000 for neuromuscular blockade in patients undergoing elective surgery.
  • shares of bioAffinity Technologies, Inc. BIAF got a boost, surging 120% to $3.49 after the company announced the publication of the results of its clinical trial in the journal Respiratory Research.
  • Axella Health Inc. AXLA Shares were also higher, gaining 38% to $0.5996 after the company announced a regulatory path to register AXA1125 to treat long-term COVID fatigue.

  • Altamira Therapeutics Ltd. CYTO Shares fell 31% to $3.45 after the company provided an update on its clinical trials of Bentrio. The COVAMID study did not meet the primary efficacy endpoint.
