Former President donald trump has reportedly brought a former adviser to the Florida governor on board Ron DeSantis to his legal team working on matters related to the recent seizure of documents from his Florida home.
What happened: Chris Kise served as an advisor to DeSantis’ transition team and was added to Trump’s legal team three weeks later Federal Office of Investigations (FBI) searched Mar-a-Lago, reported The Washington Post.
Florida Attorney General Kise met with Trump and his legal team in Bedminster, New Jersey last Thursday and drafted motions, a person familiar with the matter told the Post.
Kise’s title on the team is unclear, but other members are reportedly included Jim Trusty, Evan Corcoran, Boris Epshteyn, and Christina Bob.

Why it matters: Kise has worked with the current incumbent Republican governor and with Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) and has tried cases before the U.S. Supreme Court and the Florida Supreme Court, the Post noted.
It was reported on Tuesday that Trump’s legal team is in attendance inquiry It may have been too late for a “special foreman” to review the materials seized at Mar-a-Lago, as the US Department of Justice said it had completed reviewing the documents.
Trump has continued to demand truth social that the confiscated documents should be handed over to him without “plants”.
Truth Social is owned by Trump media and technology group (TMTG) – a company set to go public through a merger Digital World Acquisition Corp DWAC.
