Twitter chairman Elon Musk surveys his more than 113 million followers on the platform when advertisers should support “Freedom of Speech” or “Political Correctness”.
What happened: That Tesla Inc TSLA and SpaceX CEO who recently bought Twitter received more than 1.2 million votes in the poll.
“Freedom of Speech” received 80.1% of those votes, with 19 hours left to vote.
Musk wrote a note to Twitter advertisers last week, saying the platform could not become one “free hellscape.”
Musk said at the time he wanted to make Twitter “the most respected advertising platform in the world.”

Why it matters: Advertisers generate 90% of Twitter’s revenue. One of the biggest advertising companies, IPG, on Monday issued a recommendation for clients to pause spending on the platform over moderation concerns. reported The New York Times.
