Twitter Inc TWTR Security Researcher is reportedly working on a cryptocurrency wallet that supports crypto deposits and withdrawals Jane Wong.
The social media platform recently launched a feature called “Tips,” which allows users to connect a third-party payment service and post their tips Bitcoin BTC/USD or ether ETH/USD Wallets to their accounts so followers and supporters can deposit these cryptos.
Integrating a native cryptocurrency wallet into the platform would eliminate the need for a third-party service and bring the social media site closer to it Elon Musk’s Concept of “X, the everything app” that supposedly aims to compete with China’s WeChat.
Bill Markusthe co-founder of Dogecoins DOGE/USD, and Musk – who is currently finalizing the deal to buy Twitter – have been longtime supporters of the memecoin. Musk recently suggested Introducing the ability for users to pay with Dogecoin for Twitter’s premium service, Twitter Blue.
Earlier this year, Markus sent a tweet saying that Dogecoin needed more utility — “using Doge as a tip currency” was one point he made.

It’s possible that if Twitter launches a crypto wallet, Dogecoin would be the default currency for it, because Musk, who already accepts Dogecoin for some Tesla products, responded to the tweet by adding: “[that would be] good to have.”
