Elon Musk’s “voyages of discovery” and charts showing the benefits of…

Elon Musk has spoken out about psychedelic drugs and is not afraid to discuss them and their benefits. He has also supported the legalization of cannabis.

The billionaire shared a chart with a friend showing that MDMA and psychedelic mushrooms are healthier than drinking alcohol, according to the friend who shared the story The New York Times.

The Times reported The Insider, then spoke to over 40 people who have spent time with Musk over the past 15 years, many of whom have signed non-disclosure agreements or similar to attend parties with Musk. The Times also reported that Musk has attended almost every Burning Man festival over the past 20 years, usually with his younger brother Kimbal Musk and a friend he met there.

“I was with him on light reconnaissance trips,” he said David Marglin, a Bay Area attorney who met Musk at Burning Man, where they formed a 20-year friendship. “And he appreciates the value of these trips. Nothing out of control or wild, but it’s all night and there’s dancing and feasting.”

In the past that Tesla TSLA chairman has expressed its support for psychedelics and ketamine. Earlier this year, he was part of a conversation between two Twitter users, one of whom was a Netscape co-founder Marc Andresen denotes a 2016 New York Times article about Adderall and wondered if “our current society was caused by social media. I wonder if Adderall plus ubiquitous Google searches will have a bigger impact.”

Musk replied“I’ve spoken to many more people who have benefited from psychedelics and ketamine than SSRIs and amphetamines.”

Most recently, the billionaire said in an interview with Full broadcast podcast that he believes psychedelics can be “quite helpful” for PTSD and depression. Musk also noted that he and “all of SpaceX” had been randomly drug tested for a year after appearing on a podcast with Joe Rogan where he smoked weed.
