The ether ETH/USD Foundation has announced February 28 as the start date for the move Sepolia Testnet (testnet) through the shanghai Update.

The That’s what the Ethereum team said Sepolia would be the second network to undergo such an upgrade, reports Coindesk.

Following the Zhejiang testnet, which enables simulation of staked ETH withdrawals, another testnet will be upgraded before the main Ethereum blockchain is expected to undergo the Shanghai hard fork that is set to take place in March.

According to the report, the Sepolia testnet is closed to developers running validators on the network. According to the Sepolia testnet, Gorli (the largest public ETH testnet) will be the last testnet to receive the Shanghai upgrade.

Quoted from Coindesk Barnabas Buzaone of the Ethereum Foundation’s DevOps engineers said that the difference between the three tests was due to “the number of visitors participating and the network load”.

Earlier in a blog postthe foundation announced that the Shapella fork is live on the Zhejiang testnet and available for stakers and users to test.

Shapella refers to two Ethereum Upgrades, Shanghai and Capella. This allows payouts at the execution level and improves the consensus layer of the beacon chain.

“Shapella contains a lot of features, but the most important thing for stakers and the consensus layer is allowing for withdrawals. Full withdrawals will be available for terminated validators, while partial withdrawals will be available for active validator balances over 32 ETH,” the Ethereum team said on the blog.

In the meantime, Whale Alert has reported that Ethereum holders moved 323,430 ETH worth $488.67 million from unknown wallets to Coinbase Global Inc COIN.
