Knightscope Inc KSCP announced that PG&E Corporation PCG Subsidiary Pacific Gas and Electric Company, has added five more K5 Autonomous Security Robots (ASRs) to its contract.

This brings the current ASR total to ten machines under contract.

Knightscope builds fully autonomous security robots that deter, detect and report.

What happened: PG&E signed its first contract in 2021 to test whether Knightscope would provide the level of security and surveillance needed to secure specific properties.

Knightscope could reduce costs during this pilot phase and demonstrate value with a positive return on investment.

“Knightscope’s autonomous security robots operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year with enhanced detection and data retrieval capabilities at a fraction of the cost of traditional physical security protection,” said William Santana Li, Knightscope chairman and CEO.

“We look forward to exploring additional opportunities at hundreds of PG&E sites.”

Price promotion: KSCP shares closed down 1.01% at $2.94 on Tuesday.
