“The last of us,” HBO‘s post-apocalyptic survival show based on the video game of the same name Sony Group Corp SONY‘s Naughty Dog was renewed for a second season after just two episodes.
After the premiere on Warner Bros Discovery Inc‘s WBD HBO on January 15, the series was highly rated by viewers and critics alike. More than 4.7 million viewers watched “The Last of Us” on the night of its release.
And now the official Twitter account for The Last Of Us has confirmed that the show will continue beyond its 9 episodes in March.

How will Joel and Ellie’s story continue?
After Kotaku, the second season, will likely follow the events from The Last Of Us Part II game, which features an elderly Ellie seeking revenge after killing a loved one.
However, there’s a gap of several years between the original game and its sequel, so maybe HBO will delay delving into that story and wait for Ellie’s actors, Bell Ramseyeither age something or reframe.
An alternative option would be a pre-Part II season, allowing Ramsey to portray a growing Ellie. This would differ from the game format, which intersperses flashbacks with today’s scenes in Part II.
