That’s what a lawyer for the US Department of Justice suggested Sam Bankman Fried According to recent court filings, access to the internet should be restricted as part of his bail conditions.
Bankman-Fried is the founder of FTX, a bankrupt cryptocurrency currency exchange and faces charges of wire fraud and money laundering, to which he has pleaded not guilty.
The suggestion comes after suspicions Bankman-Fried tried to contact witnesses while on bail.
The proposed restrictions include using a non-Internet connected flip phone and whitelisting approved websites for Bankman-Fried’s laptop.
Video games and other connected applications should also be restricted.

The filing indicates that Bankman-Fried’s defense attorney agreed to the proposed terms.
The filing goes on to say that Bankman-Fried’s parents must sign affidavits certifying the internet-connected devices in their homes and agree not to bring any additional devices.
They would also need to install surveillance software and make sure Bankman-Fried couldn’t use their devices.
The government’s move to tighten bail conditions came after it was revealed that Bankman-Fried had used a virtual private network and a county judge Lewis Kaplan expressed skepticism about his claims that he only used it to watch football.
