GROTON, Conn., October 6, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — General Dynamics Electric Boat, a business unit of General Dynamics DGannounced today that it has been awarded a contract modification by the US Navy for guidance shipyard support, development studies and design efforts related to Virginia-class attack submarines.

The contract change has a value of $532.9 million. The work will be carried out in Groton, Connecticutand Newport News, Vaand is expected to be completed by October 2023.
