General Motors, Alphabet and 3 stocks to watch heading into Tuesday

With US stock futures trading lower this Tuesday morning, some of the stocks that may draw investor focus today are as follows:

  • Wall Street expects alphabet inc Google to post quarterly earnings of $1.06 per share on sales of $68.86 billion before the opening bell. Alphabet’s shares fell 0.1% in after-hours trading to $105.96.
  • Analysts expect General Motor Company GM to have earned $1.71 per share on sales of $38.95 billion in the most recent quarter. The company will release earnings before the markets open. GM shares rose 0.2% to $34.35 in after-hours trading.
  • Bank of the First Republic FRC reported better-than-expected first-quarter earnings and sales results. However, the company did see deposits drop for the quarter and said it will cut its workforce by 20-25%. Shares in First Republic Bank fell 22.2% to $12.45 in after-hours trading.

  • before the opening bell, Verizon Communications Inc. vz quarterly earnings of $1.20 per share are forecast on sales of $33.57 billion. Verizon shares rose 0.1% to $37.14 in after-hours trading.
  • Analysts expect Microsoft Corporation MSFT Quarterly earnings of $2.23 per share on after-market sales of $51.02 billion. Microsoft shares fell 0.2% to $281.11 in after-hours trading.
