Here’s the ‘terrible habit’ Elon Musk wants to kick out of his morning…

One of the richest people in the world and CEO of Tesla Inc TSLA, Elon Muskis a busy person and maintains regular habits to balance his personal and professional life.

However, there is a specific daily routine that he wants to change. In a recent interviewMusk said he’s addicted to his phone and checks it first thing in the morning.

“I have a bad habit – which I think a lot of people do – of checking my phone first thing in the morning. It’s a terrible habit,” Musk said.

Earlier, in a year 2014 interviewhe mentioned that he has a habit of checking email early in the morning before starting his day.

Discussing how he planned to change his routine to make it healthier, Musk added, “I need to exercise and be in better shape. So instead of checking my phone as soon as I wake up, I exercise for at least 20 minutes – then I check my phone.”

In his daily routine, Musk wakes up around 7 a.m. every day. He usually stays up until about 1am and only sleeps 6-6.5 hours each night. Musk is known for it work almost 80-100 hours per week in the past.

“There were probably times when I had about eight [Diet Cokes] a day or something ridiculous,” Musk said. “I think nowadays it’s probably one or two, so it’s not too crazy.”
