HighArt hosts the second art exhibition, Our Angeles, highlighting LA culture

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 11, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — High Art, a community collective aiming to revolutionize the art scene by empowering diverse, emerging artists and creators, will be its second on Saturday, January will host “Our Angeles” Annual Art Exhibition 14. The opening party, curated by Enkrypt Los Angeles, will feature art, merchandise, live music, DJ sets, local food and beverages.

“Con Safos y Amor” means “With respect and love”. The Our Angeles team is honored to give back to the community by highlighting local artists, particularly people of color, who traditional arts institutions would otherwise overlook. “Con Safos y Amor” is an art exhibition that celebrates the respect and love for our city and its people. What unites this exhibition is a call to beautifully capture cultural love and respect in all different art formats; The artists presented are not limited by the medium used, whether camera, brush or moving image.

The Plaza de la Raza School of Performing and Visual Arts is a nonprofit organization that has provided quality arts education to students in Los Angeles since 1970 and offers students throughout Los Angeles County the opportunity to experience the arts firsthand in courses in four Main disciplines to deal with: visual arts, dance, music and theatre. Plaza de la Raza offers opportunities for students of all ages, courses from entry-level to conservatory and free courses for qualified low-income families.

2023 is the second year that High Art is collaborating with local artists, companies and makers to host an art exhibition by Angelenos for Angelenos. Organized by a passionate team of lifelong LA residents, this exhibition features works that celebrate what it means to be from Los Angeles. Events director Joselyn Lopez and co-founders of Enkrypt Los Angeles and Sabas Carrillo, who is also CEO of Adnant Consulting, grew up in Los Angeles.
