One of the most anticipated electric vehicles of all time is the Cybertruck Tesla Inc TSLA. The new electric pickup will put Tesla in increased competition with several traditional auto companies for a sector that is seeing strong annual sales.

What happened: Since the Cybertruck was unveiled in 2019, the vehicle has been one of Tesla’s most anticipated launches of all time and one of the most hyped vehicle launches of all time.

The vehicle had previously been given production targets of 2021 and 2022 before being pushed back to 2023 due to setbacks. Tesla CEO Elon Musk says production will begin in 2023.

Third-party estimates show over a million reservations for the Cybertruck.

According to InsideEV, a new survey by AmericanTrucks.com sees strong interest in the Cybertruck among truck owners reports.

When asked “Which electric trucks do truck drivers buy the most?” The Cybertruck came in second with 27% of the vote. The Tesla vehicle was beaten by the Ford F-150 Lightning, an electric pickup truck Ford Motor Company f already on the market.

The poll also revealed what people really think about the Cybertruck when asked if Tesla’s upcoming vehicle is a “real” truck.

In the survey, only 44% said the Tesla Cybertruck is a real truck, while 56% said it wasn’t.

Another question asked respondents to predict when the already-delayed Cybertruck would hit the market.

• Next 4 to 5 years: 17%
• 6+ years: 6%
• Never: 6%
• Unsure: 20%

Users were also asked what would make truck drivers more likely to buy an electric truck in the future, with multiple choices possible.
