Isracann Biosciences Inc. ISCNF IPOT A Has relieved it is first shipment of cannabis strains to Israel.
The agreement for genetics is directly between United Greeneries Ltda licensed Canadian producer of craft cannabis, and Intelicanna, a licensed Israeli breeder and medical cannabis brand. Three parent strains are included in the agreement, with additional strains contemplated. Under a revenue-sharing agreement, United Greeneries is responsible for cultivation and genetic support, with Isracann providing in-country support.
“Israel is the world’s largest importer of Canadian cannabis,” the CEO stated Phil Floucault. “The main reason for this is that the domestic market lacks the high-THC strains that are available outside of the country. I am delighted that through our agreement with United Greeneries, Isracann was able to arrange this supply of genetics to Intelicanna and we look forward to expanding this offering. United Greeneries Ltd. continues to supply some of the strongest sativa and indica strains to the domestic Canadian market and wants to support Intelicanna to do the same in Israel.”
Since 2021, Intelicanna has been cultivating and selling medicinal cannabis for the Israeli market under the Intelicanna brand. Their HaSharon facility covers 5,500 m2 of a hybrid greenhouse with full light, shade and climate control.
Floucault continued, “This first shipment is scheduled to arrive in Israel shortly. We’ve been working with Intelicanna to have everything ready to receive the clones and speed up the process of scaling them to full production. Before long, Canadian quality cannabis will be grown in Israel.”
