Loomis orders 150 electric armored vehicles from Xos for the US market

STOCKHOLM, February 1, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — Loomis has entered into an agreement with Xos, Inc. XOS for the delivery of 150 armored electric vehicles (EVs) for the US market. By the end of 2022, Loomis in the US had 20 armored electric vehicles from the same supplier that successfully met high-performance requirements in terms of safety, range and weight.

With the ambition to become the leading sustainable business partner in the industry, the transformation of Loomis’ vehicle fleet is necessary. Loomis’ biggest climate impact comes from transportation, and the company is committed to reducing emissions from its fleet. This order for more electric vehicles in the US is an important step in reducing dependence on fossil fuels.

Loomis’ sustainability goals are integrated into the company’s business strategy and financing. Loomis has issued sustainability-linked bonds under a sustainability-linked financial framework since 2021, with the associated target of reducing absolute carbon emissions by 20 percent by the end of 2025 compared to 2019 levels.
