Elon Musk-LED Twitter there is a lack of transparency, acc Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cubanwho demanded a Bill of Rights from the social media platform.

What happened: Cuban told Musk on Twitter, “We have no idea what free speech is on Twitter because you’re a judge and jury.”

The Shark Tank host asked: “There is no transparency. When do we see the @twitter Bill of Rights?”

Why it matters: Cuban told Musk that while free speech is widely known due to the First Amendment and related case law, this is not the case with Twitter.

Musk said Monday, “If freedom of expression is also lost in America, only tyranny awaits.” He called it a “struggle for the future of civilization.”

Musk announced in March of this year himself a “free speech absolutist” and said he would not block Russian news sources after the war in Ukraine unless forced to do so at “gunpoint”.

On Monday, a White House spokesman said the administration was Musk-led Twitter to keep an eye on when it came to misinformation and “hate”.
