Market volatility eases as US stocks extend gains – Apple…

US stocks closed higher on Tuesday, extending last session’s gains. All three major stock indices posted gains for the third straight month.

After the closing bell on Tuesday, shares of Microsoft Corporation MSFT and alphabet inc WELL each fell 6.7% following the release of quarterly earnings.

The Nasdaq 100 rose 2.10% to close at 11,669.99 amid gains on Tuesday apple inc AAPL and Microsoft Corporation MSFT Equities, while the S&P 500 gained 1.63%. The Dow Jones rose around 337 points to settle at 31,836.74 in the previous session.

Investors await earnings results from The Boeing Company B.A, Meta Platforms, Inc. META, Ford Motor Company fand General Dynamics Corporation DG.

Most sectors in the S&P 500 ended positively, with real estate and materials stocks posting the biggest gains on Tuesday. However, energy stocks bucked the broader market trend, falling about 0.1% in the previous session.

The Chicago Board Options Exchange’s CBOE Volatility Index (VIX) fell 4.7% to 28.46 points.
