An island city with resellable virtual land where creators big and small can settle down and hang up a business, so to speak. Venues for live performances are part of the plan to attract established and up-and-coming musicians and entertainers. Public areas for rest, relaxation and exploration will balance the commercial aspect. MetaFoundry will be a hub of virtual commerce in the metaverse, like ancient Carthage. A thriving city where commerce, creativity, leisure and technology meet.

MetaFoundry will be connected to the Hyper Grid, allowing traffic and connectivity from multiple entry points into the Metaverse. Travelers from other grids can enter through portals where they can buy avatars, clothes and accessories and export them to other games or grids or use them immediately in MetaFoundry. It embraces and embodies a metaverse that is inclusive and open to all. MetaFoundry will be owned by the people who create and use it, not large corporations. However, businesses and gaming companies are welcome.

MetaFoundry is a one-man company looking for funding to grow into a larger company, which is why it’s debuting on Kickstarter. Creator, Alex Aurichio, has been an internet artist, gamer, content creator and distributor for over 20 years and a 42-year New York City film industry veteran. He has created amazing environments in Second Life and OpenSim, and attends Burn2 (Burning Man’s sister virtual event, held in Second Life every October) every year.
