Tesla Inc TSLA chairman Elon Musk reportedly moderates tweets related to the recently concluded elections in Brazil personally.
What happened: The entrepreneur calls “constantly balls and strikes” reported The New York Post, citing a person familiar with the matter.
For now, Musk is reportedly following the content moderation rules that were in place before he bought the social media site.
On Wednesday, Luis Inacio Lula da Silva won Brazil’s presidential election, defeating the incumbent Jair Bolsonaro in runoff polls.
Brazil’s elections have been marred by disinformation spread by allies of both Lula and Bolsonaro, the Post noted.
Bolsonaro has refused to concede defeat in the polls but has said he will abide by the country’s constitution, ending fears that he is trying to overturn the results, the report said.

Why it matters: Twitter employees responsible for Twitter policies during Brazil’s elections were given access to internal moderation tools on Sunday, but in limited capacity, Bloomberg reported.
Normally, moderation access is available to a group of hundreds of people, but it was reduced to 15 last week, according to Bloomberg.
To restrict moderation access, Joel RothTwitter’s head of security and integrity said: “This is exactly what we (or any other company) should be doing in the midst of a corporate transition to reduce the opportunity for insider risk. We still enforce our rules on a large scale.”
Roth’s statement is notable as the US heads towards midterm polls beginning November 8, with all 435 seats in the House of Representatives up for grabs. The fate of 35 seats in the 100-strong Senate will also be decided.
